Why not post a picture of your odometer to settle the argument?

Did have the makings of a "Tall Story ". Just on pure age car would have needed to be driven around 6 hours a day for its entire ownership every single day of the 14 years ...not saying its untrue but would require substantiating to get my vote  ;D

I've had mine just over 3 years. In that time it's been off the road for 5 months from accident damage and a further 6 months whilst I rebuilt the front suspension, (I ended up getting another car for work whilst collecting parts).

In two years it has done 130k, so 65k a year :-\ I'd like to see 250k from it as a chap I used to work with had an M reg diseasel that he took to 475k, but he had cheated and put a new engine in at 240k ::) it would be nice to see 500k from it, but I very much doubt that I'll be working the car for long enough :-\

There was a 2.2DTi in the scrappy today with 301k on the speedo...

...no clues why it was in there, no obvious panel damage beyond how they are manuovered, and both front airbags deployed (but not side), but I think scrapyyards have to do that now.

What did you expect? Suggesting your Omega had done over a million miles, would prompt calls for you to prove it. As it would be a record I think for the UK?

Who would pay to service a car to that millage? You suggest Kodak, but company cars last 3 maybe 4 years Max. If a private owner bought it, why not get a diesel if your doing those mega miles? Going by Vx service intervals, there is no way thats is the original engine either, it must have gone through about 4 head gaskets?

Come to think of it what made you buy a car with that millage?

Complete bull from you as usual rusty!  :y
you defo dont know Kodak... :y

Ignoring the question I see?

What made you think "Yes, I want to hand over money for a car that has done 950,000 miles+:o

For me it would be the price  :) :y

Price would never be low enough for a million mile car. Even breaking it is likely to be uneconomical.
