ok peeps, so its like this, to give us a bit more comfort, I've bought a nice velour Elite interior for my humble GLS estate, and today we set about fitting it whilst dodging the showers.

We need the following wiring looms (if available) to make the seats work:

REAR SEATS:  the seats came with their own wires, and we got a loom off of Twiglet that has the relays, but we have no wiring from that loom to the car (and the heated rear seat switches) - can anyone help out here?

FRONT SEATS: (only attempted driver's side so far)  GLS only has electric up/down mode, whereas the Elite is all singing and dancing.  As you can see from the attached photos, I have no wiring in the car's seat loom (with the black connector) to power any of the electric features on the seat(s).  Is this loom available?





We've had a friend promise us a Haynes Manual for the F/L Omega for some time, but its never materialised, if we had one of those we could look at the wiring diagram and probably suss things out for ourselves, however, as we don't, it's over to our esteemed OOF colleagues to advise - or come up with the bits we need hopefully in exchange for beer tokens

I've got the heated seat switches working in the dash, there's just no cabin loom for them - our main problem, is wires or connectors to the seat motors, so the seat is currently stuck and cannot be moved.

Other half is an electronics/computer engineer, so wiring doesnt phase him, but its nice to have some clues as to where to wire stuff up to.

For motors, passenger should be plug and play, drivers need the minor wiring mods mentioned in Maintence Guides.

Heating, as you say, cabin looms are missing.  Can't check wiring diags until I'm back in UK, but Haynes does NOT cover the heated seats for facelifts.

Just to add, not sure if the maintenance guide has been modified, but bear in mind the following:

Connect the exact wires shown, based on their position NOT the wire colours as there are variations 

Also you'll need new seat bolts as the Elite ones are about 8mm longer, originals won't fit 

The power feed for the heated front seats from the switches is:

Black/red drivers side, and black/yellow pax side, both with brown negs. If you remove the sill trims, you should find where these wires are terminated, probably at the main dash plugs, one in each footwell

You really need the Haynes manual for the rear seats, just so you can cross reference the 'new' wiring against what may/may not exist in the car

Cheers for the info - have found out that Haynes didnt do a manual for the f/l Omega - if anyone has wiring digrams they can copy/ scan for me that would be useful :-)

Agreed. That's why I've been using my official Vauxhall manual for the facelift for my facts  TB - could you advise where I stand on providing extracts for people - on a FOC basis of course ...

Claire, as it happens - I'm fairly certain that I have sufficient lengths taken from a car loom to allow you to get the rears working. The wiring for the rears in a FL is exactly the same as a PFL/MFL. I'll have a rummage around tomorrow and see what I can find for you.

You would have to check with copyright holders. I know there are allowances to photocopy parts of books for educational purposes, but that may be stretching it.

Triple Information Display = clock, radio and temperature.

Multiple Information Display = Trip computer, check control, clock, radio and temperature. 

Drive By Wire = Electronic throttle, ie no throttle cable, so ECU does everything except make tea

I know what an ECU is thankfully......

Point is that the 'later models' wiring diagrams in the Haynes manual are detailed enough to muddle through most of the face lift wiring, and does actually cover the 2.0 engine wiring as well
