door handle leds
« on: 19 August 2012, 02:20:37 »

Im thinking of putting some leds into me door handles and maybe a couple facing down in my wing mirrors. What i want to know is where do i get the feed from? With me having rcl which flashes the indictors and turns the interior light on i want to tie into this. That way it turns them on from the fob and will also turn them on any time the interior light is on.
Cheers for any help

Guess best option is removing door handles (dead easy) drill & mount the LEDs.

You could take a feed off the interior courtesy light? So that it powers on when you unlock & lock.

It could look ok if it's done right & only active when locking / unlocking.

Mixed feelings on this. If done well, i.e. in the factory, it looks good. I think a lot of trial and error is needed to make a half decent job of a DIY installation .............. good luck
