Well two things

1) It wont have been an engineer, technician maybe?

2) Virgin are now NTL

I was with Virgin before the merger with NTL and got great service and good throughput. Since NTL came along the Virgin throughput has hit rock bottom....

You sure about that Mark, surely it's the other way around. I used to be with NTL and was informed that they were taken over by Virgin and all bills are now from Virgin. :-/

NTL took over Virgin with Virgin retaining a stake in the joint operation (about 10% plus a wedge for Mr Branson) in July 2006.

NTL then adopted the Virgin name because the NTL one was already considered shite......they then shut down a number of the servers and slowly moved the original Virgin customers onto the already overloaded NTL ones....the result, crap throughput.

Sadly I am also stuck with Virgin....not worth moving supplier if there is a chance we will be moving house.
