If I read that correctly they didn't tighten your wheel nuts properly? I'd be screaming blue murder and complaining to head office...

... Or the press :-X

All they would say is maybe someone undid them after it left there the guy was working on 3 cars at once so id say he spun it on the gun and forgot to tighten them

Stick to your guns mate - go in ask for the manager, complain loudly and stress their negligence could have killed someone.  If no joy - Head Office (Managing Director), Trading Standards and local press.  By the way £27 for wheel balancing is a rip off price ;)

Well first of all tighten your nuts up then see how it goes... if still shaking/vibrating take it back  :y

As for the price it cost me £12 to have all 4 wheels balanced at ATS Euromaster. I did have a tyre fitted though too so whether they reduced the price due to me having a tyre fitted i'm not sure  :-\

Wheelnuts - they will have a get-out, I bet on receipt it says retorque after 20 miles etc.

Omega is quite sensitive to balancing. Sounds like they did a poor job

I would expect them to do the balancing again for free.

Mention the loose bolts, and ask to watch them do them back up.  If the don't use a torque wrench, complain. If they use an airgun to do up bolts, and then the torque wrench clicks immediately, point out the error of their ways to the most senior person there, suggesting further training.

sent an email to their head office to complain and had a reply saying the area manager will contact me. and ive since found out its not the first time a few weeks ago in the paper a local counciler lost his wheel after having a tyres changed at the same garage. they are having the car back today to re check the balance and better not fob me off and says its the wheels/car at fault.

If the tyre was out of shape or bulging surely a competent person would have noticed it when it was spinning on the balancing machine? :-\
