cloned car reg
« on: 28 August 2012, 21:26:21 »

was driving along a duel carrige way today and was fast aproaching a similar car to wifeys as i got closer i realised it was indeed wifeys car same colour etc same reg :o :o

i thought weyhey i will give her a toot, then thought whats she doing here she should be at work :o :o and :o :o

slowed down to see who was driving and wifey had grown a full beard and looked like she had a part time job at eastenders

the van did try and swerve to the left a little but after seeing that nobody was in the passanger seat some how the van went back over to the right ;)

so ok wifey must be at work ::) that means hes stolen the car 8) no hang on wifey loves that car. Try getting hold of wifey on her mobile during the day so some 4 phone calls later and resisting the urge to put the guy on the hard shoulder i finally get hold of wifey, i did use small simple words to try and explain but in the end had to resort to shouting

furk me why do women need to know the ins and outs of a ducks arse when your driving ( hands free officer) trying to keep contact with the suspect vehicle whilst trying to act casual so he dont smell a rat :D :D

i should also expalin i had 3 miles to do all this in as my turning was approaching

anyway wifeys still got her car :-X but there is another car exactly the same except for the bearded guy with the same registration driving around

in hined sight i probably should have followed the guy but after finding out it was not wifeys car i took my turning and then had to listen to what the weather was like how her day was going etc etc etc etc.

If i report it to the boys in blue what can they do in fact it may even mean wifey would be getting pulled over :) ;D :-X

I think the first thing i would do would be to check the identity of my own vehicle, chassis number in various places to see who has the legit motor.

This - it's also not unknown for dealers and/ or number plate suppliers to cock up and put two identical reg plates on two different cars, especially if they're registered in blocks. Did you get it new?

(I've also had more than one customer displaying subtly different plates front and rear, X123ABC on the front, V132 on the back...)

I would have followed the vehicle...stuff the turn-off approaching...and phoned the old Bill. :y

Still, wait until the bearded one commits a crime, whether it's a bank job or merely nicking petrol, and the Bill will visit you. ;D

I wonder how long it'll be until the speeding tickets start dropping through the letterbox......  ::)

Good advice earlier to check the VIN, chassis number etc  :y
