They were all shite,so thankfully long since disbanded. :DI know that Brian Connolly (lead singer from Sweet) died several years ago. Iirc he became a hopeless alcoholic and his heart gave out in the end.

But when we were young they were great, and Slade still lives on............... :y :y :y

only good thing I can say about Slade is that they were better than all the other shite from the glitter era,but still shite. But if we all liked the same things.... ;)

Alvin Stardust took the role of the Childcatcher in Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang the Palladium in 2005. He has also been in Godspell, David Copperfield (the musical) & played Billy Butlin in the Butlin Story

Dire Straights

In 1995 Mark Knopfler wound the group down and started out on a solo career. The original gang have reformed only one since, for bass guitarist John Illsley's wedding. Knopfler has continually stressed he is not interested in a reunion although he does work regularly with the other members of the band on his solo music.

My brother in law was traveling across America during the heavy days of glam rock Ha Ha, anyway was in San Francisco when ELO were there still remembers with delight best he had seen.  :y :y
