hi ya, i'm after some advice... I've got a 97 miggy elite with the 3.0 V6 lump, and  i bought it with little if any history!!

Clearly it is in my best interest to have the Cam belt changed but this is quoted at around £350 at the local garage.  Does anyone know how difficult a job it is to do it myself? I'm not a complete numpty when it comes to mechanics, but i have never done one before!!

nor had i until a fortnight ago,i bought the dvd from oof and took my time (6/7 hours) found it reasonably easy.your biggest problem may be locating a cam locking/ setting kit.some members have them but normally loan them to members with over 500 posts....also gates cambelt kits are very good,i paid about 70 quid for mine

Not rocket science, but don't attempt without the cam locking tool and seeing the video first.
