Well, if your even concidering the 5, it must be quick enough to justify the cost.

Or is he a desk spanking fan boy..? ;D

Since the iOS 5 update, the 3GS is starting to show its age, both lack of RAM and CPU performance. Probably quite slow NAND as well.

So toying with a 4 or later. 4 (8Gb) is cheap enough to buy. 4S is virtually same price as 5, so you'd buy the latter for better future proofing, although that extra 8-10mm would annoy me. Plus Mrs TB still needs to get me a birthday pressie ;D.

But, I'll probably keep the 3GS, and see if anyone can make a usable mail client for a Galaxy Mini, or how WinPhone 8 pans out.

I know I keep banging on about mail, but its probably the most important part of my phone. I could (almost) happily get rid of the web browser functionality if the mail client was good. The crApple one is very good (for me).

landscape and portrait  :-\  very annoying as the keyboard is slightly higher so one tends to miss the space bar etc.... naturally expecting it to be where it normally is  >:(

Getting board with iOS tbh. But Ipad mini anyone? Looks a more sensible size.

...and I wonder if there will an iPhone mini too. :-\
Same here  :-\  Also getting rather annoyed with iOS6 WiFi issues when the phone is locked it switches to 3G then after unlocking the phone takes a few seconds to get back onto WiFi which buggers the iCloud back up at night due to this and also notifications can become late  >:(

(this is a software issue as my 4S and 5 are affected but when i was on iOS5 no such problem as this before)
This WiFi problem is also getting on my tits not that i have any tits  ::)

But for a little extra speed, its a lot of money.  Plus, I really don't want another overpriced crApple product, so more than likely will wait and see what pans out.

Lets face it, the gayPhone 5 offers very little extra than my strong, robust, reliable 3GS...

But it does what I require it to do. And does it well.

My complaint is it could be a bit quicker. Not sure it warrants £600 to make it a bit quicker.

Its slow loading apps, or switch apps. Running apps, its fine, mostly. But if typing and something happens, eg a text or email, I can get a fair few letters ahead before it catches up ;D

As said, its probably not annoying enough to warrant spending £600 on it.

And, by not being all excitable over a new iOS version, I still have Google Maps ;D

(such as eBay,LoveFilm,Natwest,TVGuid,SpeedTest,Photogene,Photobucket, etc)

For things like LoveFilm they will need to re-encode all films in new aspect ratio, live streams will need new resolution playlists.

So it's not an app update, it's behind scenes it needs to update
