engine swap

can anybody help 2.2 engine packed up so put a 2.0 in left 2.2 ecu in and now got car with spanner in it light on and after about 20 seconds of engine running the auto gearbox comes up on the display any ideas please

2.2 ECU different to the 2.0. 2.2 has pre-cat sensor, DBW throttle etc.

If you fitted the 2.2 manifolds and sensors to the 2.0 lump it should work.

4 pots don't respond to the pedal trick so you need to get it on a code reader.

the only thing that is 2.0 is head and block everything else is 2.2

Are *ALL* engine electrics from the 2.2, both HT and low voltage components?

You need to read the codes with code reader.
