Aerial
« on: 14 September 2012, 21:44:35 »

Would anybody have a link or picture of a replacement aerial and where to buy one for my estate as it keeps rubbing on the spoiler and is marking the paint.

cheers Paul

Estates should have a metal ball in between the base and main Ariel, points it more vertically.

To correct Tunnie's reply, later estate models with spoiler should have the ball

Our very early facelift had the ball, but the bit snapped, had some bodge metal pole in it, junked it for one shown.

I'm not sure if you can buy the ball on its own, might be worth asking AndyC?  :-\

What I really can't stand about these when fitted to new cars having neither satnav or bluetooth fitted in the factory ............

Always a mystery to me as to why the old coat hanger never caught on. Growing up as a kid cant remember seeing any thing else but on dads car.  :y :y

Irmscher supplied an adaptor with the spoiler :y technically 2 adapters, as there is a choice of thread diameter :y

Guess Prodrive supplied them to the factory along with the spoilers :-\

My F/L estate has the spoiler which doesn't go anywhere near the aerial when the tailgate is open.
The aerial base is exactly the same as my neighbour's '07 plate Corsa. They can't be difficult to find!
