Security code
« on: 19 September 2012, 17:34:58 »

I've just replaced the stereo in the Mig. I replaced the display and head unit as one so I didn't have to mess around with coding the two together. What gets me is. What's the point of having the security pass card? The stereo I fitted had been sat around out of the car for around two months. Yet it never asked me for the code when it fired up for the first time. So what is the security code on the Car Pass for? Apart from confusing simpletons like me  :P

Perhaps it's the code needed to depair the units?

Immobiliser/key code and as Brikhead says, needed to de-pair the HU & CID/GID
