MOT for SE members
« on: 20 September 2012, 21:52:55 »

Last couple of years I have been using council run MOT centres. Reliable, no BS and no incentive for them to fail my car just for the sake of generating work. This time around I had a quick look around as the council place I use was fully booked up. I found this on the web:

http://www.justmots.eu/

They only do MOTs, no car repair work at all. So paid £34 online. Got there and they passed my car straight away. Only when I looked at the MOT sheet did I realise that it had failed for a beam being too high. But these guys just carried on, corrected the aim and retested my car with no fuss at all and no extra charge. In fact lots of users state that they even put in new bulbs (without any charge) so that the car can pass. Highly recommended and they cost less than the Council run sites (which are usually full price). Unfortunately they seem to be mainly based in the SE, so not useful for everyone.

According to their website they are doing 50% discount of Mots until November so reduced to £27=00.

Sounds very fair especially if they aren,t after doing made up work too...Good find  :y

The half price is only if you book 90 days in advance. However the discounted online price is £34, which is still very reasonable. Like I said, very impressed. They didnt even bother to tell me that the headlight aim was high. Just corrected it and retested and passed. The paperwork states that it failed first time around.

And yes they dont do any other work; ie tyres, repairs or anything else.
