You can adjust the length of the rod buy unscrewing the clips (yellow) to make the rod longer. This in turn will force the sensor arm (red) up which should make the pump run a bit longer :y

In order to test whether the system works or not, turn ignition to position 2, then unclip the rod and push the sensor arm up as far as it goes. The pump should kick in after 5-10 seconds :y if not, it might need a tech 2 session to establish what is or isn't working :-\ you can't fail to notice if the pump is running or not, it's quite a noisy bugger ::)
EMD's is a 97 (by his profile). Only 1998 on are diagnosable

I think the last time i enquired TB said he checked from my reg that my car is a 98  :-\
