Discovery welding update...
« on: 30 September 2012, 10:56:34 »

Well i`ve rung around and seen a couple of people who claim to be able to weld....  ::) And to be honest the best one i`ve seen so far is a local Land rover specialist in Telford.... They put the old girl up on the ramp and spent approx 30-45mins having a good old look at her under bits!!  :o And then told me all she needs is the O/S and N/S arches replacing and that will cost me £328.70p and take approx 1 day to 2 days to do depending on what jobs are in the workshop at the time.. So it looks like i`ll be paying these guys a visit once i`ve saved up the readies... Hopefully happy days ahead for the Disco!!!  :y :y :y

Pretty simple job in reality.

I might be in need of a 200 or 300 TDI Disco scrapper for an engine swap into a 110 land Rover which has just lunched its normaly aspirated diesle engine.

Thankfuly, scrap Discos are two a penny thanks to the evil tin worm!  :y
