Should there be a dash light on the Omega to tell you when Cruise is active?

I have a 2.2 that's been written of and I bought it back, it had cruise control but there wasn't a dash light to say it was on, is yours playing up?

Thank you all - I was just missing the light. THe Vectra has one and I don't know why, but just nice to see it on and know it is engaged.

Think a dash light would bug me, especially at night.

You wouldn't even notice it once you got used to it ;)

Yeah, I certainly wouldn't. Especially if it's next to the "always-on" emissions light. I wish the rather bulb would blow. ;D

Why do you want a 'cruise is on light'? Surely, if you're doing a constant xx mph and you're foot isn't on the throttle, then you've pressed the cruise button!  ???
If Vauxhall missed a trick by not fitting a light, then Mercedes did too ....... no light in my Merc either.  ;)

I think only because I have the Vectra first which does have one. As you say I know when I have pressed the button :-)

Later Vauxhall designs have an indicator (which is not distracting tunnie :y), but earlier designs like Omega lack it.

I have to say the on later designs like the Vectra the CC is generally much better - it seems to control much more smoothly even when driving around town at 30. It's is 8 years newer though so I guess some improvement is to be expected!

Just driven the Omega back from Portsmouth and switched cruise off in the end as it was continually up and down between 3rd and 4th.

Should've bought a V6  ;) ;) ;) It's rare that my car comes out of top when cruise is doing its thing (obviously when not towing)
