2.2 16v head gasket

hi everyone just got my 1st omega but looks like the head gasket has gone does anyone on here know of any where to get it looked at and done in coventry area , seems to be a nice car with £3000 of receipts from last couple of years so im hoping i've not bought a lemon .any help would be appreciated  :-[

What symptoms are displayed that lead you to believe the head gasket has gone ?

symptoms are loss of coolant slight mayo on dipstick lot of smoke at startup but only sometimes doing that

is it only doing that when its colder outside?

is it just doing short runs and is the thermostat working correctly?

have you checked the heater bypass valve?

yes it has only done it when cold and damp,not just short runs but mostly and i wouldnt even know where the bypass valve is sorry thanks

By the side of the brake servo are two hoses coming out from bulkhead. Follow these down and you`ll see them connected to the heater bypass valve (HBV). Looks like this
