Bad choice to steal car from
« on: 09 October 2012, 19:37:20 »

A six strong gang went to steal Amir Khan's £100,000 Range Rover when he and his boxing brother return to it.

Very well done to the brothers for standing up for themselves  :y

As for the "bash a burglar" bit, I am not so sure. Does it now mean burglars will up there game ? go armed for every job ? or will it mean the elderly and infirm will become softer/easier targets as less likely to fightback ?  :-\

I think one of the main reasons nowadays is we have no effective deterrent against crime >:(
All these situations of use of force should not get to that stage in the first place. They say jails are full, why !!!!
Because people are committing crimes knowing they may get a short stretch, be out in half the sentance time. No prob to some of today's plonkers.

But .........if they knew that pinching a car was a mandatory, say 3 yrs as driver, as a passenger, 2 yrs jail and no early  letouts, then I am sure after a blaze of publicity, a lot of the idiots would think twice. All crimes could/should be scaled up in this way...really harsh penalties.
Maybe it would not stop the illiterate who has to steal a car....but in IMHO, it would stop a lot of the lesser youngsters having a go at it.
Good luck to Khan and bro .....doing what the police are not allowed to do (not saying police should beat up people) and dishing out medicine that fits the purpose !!!!! :y

I also had similar experience about ten yrs ago as  three twentysome yrs old gypo guy were seriously fighting against a  trash container tried it to empty to the street. I showed them what the Hun vitality is and next day the local policeman warned me friendly that "be careful cos you are a martial artist Laszlo then your body is a dangerous weapon and you did use this weapon against young gunless guys...so the law won't be bothered by they were more than you! "

Good luck to Khan&bro !

Someone tried to nick my green wheelie bin the other night
He somehow missed the fact my fazer was chained up to it
My JR raised the alarm and tried to wade in via the cat flap but got stuck half way
The frickin coward legged it as soon as my neighbour let his lurchers out. They cleanly jumped the 6 foot fence at the back of the gardens, both dogs safely returned after about 10 minutes.

Hope the morons were given scars for life and massive chronic lifelong pain with it..........they deserve all they got and more.
Angry head on..... Its time that when a prison sentence is given as 5 years it actually means that 5 years is served behind bars! Good behaviour my a*rse, they should learn to act with good behaviour out of prison. Life as such means actual life. Top that off with all of the now expected 'luxuries' (which many of the law abiding society still cannot afford yet pay through taxes for the HOLIDAYS of prison inmates) of satellite tv, gamesboys, playstations, etc being removed and only then perhaps would it once more be a deterrent! Now it seems to be like that useless ASBO thingy it is worn as a badge of honour. What possible honour could there be in a jail term? Those do gooders who think differently should be locked up with them....... It would be worth higher taxes to get the crap off the streets and out of society!
Angry head off........
