I'm looking to replace my current daily pocket torch which is a "TrustFire R5-A3" which has a battery life of well under 5min on full which is a real pain and a shame but it does have allot of punch for such a small torch real bright.. lights the whole garden when its full.. But need to find a replacement similar size that can use rechargeable batteries... I'm liking the look of the "Sunwayman M11R" but its a bit pricey and looks over weight slightly for a pocket torch ... Basically I'm after a small light weight daily pocket torch, hell of a good light around 220 - 1000 lumens roughly, any colour within reason no pink  ::) , good on batteries long lasting over 1Hour if possible and rechargeable, under or just over £50 but cheaper the better  :y

Any useful advice please
Thanks in advance

Do a search on the bay of e for "cree"  :y

Plenty of high power torches available......im on my 3rd cree torch......1st one bulb burnt out....lost the second one.....and currently have one similar to this....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CREE-XM-L-T6-zoomable-1600-Lumen-LED-Flashlight-Torch-18650-4200mAH-batteryX2-/120995668611?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Camping_LightsLanternsTorches&hash=item1c2be76283#ht_2402wt_699

Buy from Honk Kong/China seller and they are pretty cheap and ive never had a problem with the sellers.......but i do ask them to mark customs declaration as a gift  :y

The one above lasts approx 1/2hr from full charge......but obviously a less powerful one would last longer  :)

Maglight are the way forward, expensive, yes, but reliable, i have the mini with AA batteries coupled with a NiteIze Led replacement bulb, brilliant, and i also have a 2D Magllight with a 1watt LED, this is the daddy, battery life is exceptional with leds.

Mag lite with led conversion are good, but I'm not sure they do a re chargeable one do they?

Cree are re chargeable with li ion battery in the one I saw, seem to give a wider beem too. Where as the mag lite wont focus the beem with the led fitted... :-\

Similar brightness levels afaict.

My 2D maglight still has the focus feature, but this is only for maglights own led, not an after market one, my mini has the old style niteize led conversion but does not offer the focus, its fixed.

Mine has the focus, but it doesn't affect the led beam at all. Although it doesn't appear to affect performance as the led is so much brighter than the previous candle lit bulb.

Just odd that adjusting the focus with led fitted makes no odds...?

My 2D is always on spot, thus gives a further beam, but twist the top, the light just disperses in front of you (wide beam) imo

I use a small...and a large l.e.d. one I got from Tesco for a few quid for the small one and 12 quids for the large one and both last hours with a high intensity beam that puts the coppers ones to shame.....
Both are in turned allow housings.
