It's insurance time again,
« on: 15 October 2012, 17:18:49 »

Renewal time again, and guess what, rip off time again. This years renewal was £330,phoned some other companys a lot lower than my broker,so rung them up,told them the facts of life.
Result was suddenly my new quote was £240,I told them that I was happy chappy with that.
Why don't they give you the best price without you threatening to go elsewhere.I'am still insured with the same company.

I refuse to play that game.

When I have found a better quote, which means comparing all aspects and not just the price, I ring them to tell them I'm not renewing .... when they then drop their quote to match/beat the new one by a couple of quid I inform them that it is too late. If that was the price they can offer, they should have done so the first time.

I then go to the new company.

IMHO it is another attempt to simply rip off existing customers. ... whatever happened to loyalty ???
