Looks like a tidy example, these are known for cracking exhaust manifolds and for sticking throttle bodies, the throttle bodies are horrible to remove to clean them on the SC straight six lumps though they do pull really well for a big car.

Ah, see thats where I have gone wrong.  I seem to have misplaced 3.5 stones and the extra chins I was carrying 7 months ago  :y

Yes there is an area which was highlighted in the MOT, 1st skin already gone.  I need to treat what's left and see if it needs a patch repair.  I think I see a welding course on the horizon  ;D ;D

Don't bother with Teilo for the tank... He has to order from elsewhere so probably easier to source yourself ;)

As for bigger Vap... If you're going to upgrade the pulleys you're probably looking at a twin vap setup anyway :-\
