CCR2006 Removal Tool

Any idea where I can get one - now, today !

I know there are loads on eBay etc, but I just want to go somewhere and buy one over the counter . . . . . ideally Today (Saturday). I'm in Enfield, North London but don't mind travelling a bit. Otherwise I suppose I'l have try knitting needles or coat hangers or something, but I'd rather not.

I've just got a 2000 Elite 2.5 Estate, my old 2.6 CDX blew a head gasket and is probably for the scrapyard. I wanna take out the audio kit. The one in the new car has some problem keeps needing a code for the CD. I want the one from the old car just in case.

The one in your CDX won't work straight out of tin anyway, you'll need someone with a tech 2 to enable the Bose if your 2006 has it

4 thin nails / screwdrivers will work at a push if its not too tight (they can be VERY tight)

Hellfrauds sell the shitty Autoleads ones. Ideally, need a slight modification with a file, to allow it to grab better, as those CCR2006 do stick in the cages.

Yep they did. 

Not used it yet though. £5.99 a bit steep for a couple bits of bent wire, but ok in the grand scheme of things. £1.99 + PP on Ebay but I really didn't want to hang around for the sake of £3.

Ahh ! Too late went along to the garage that I use, and it had already gone to the crusher ! My fault not theirs, I should have told 'em what I intended.

At least you've now got a pair of "shitty" Halfords double din removal tools

How on earth do you remove a CCR2006

4 x grub screws removed
Removal tolls inserted - but how far ?

I 've tried wiggling and all sorts but one side of the unit looks like it starts to come out and the removal tools seem to be fixed somehow, but the other side is solid. No movement

An ideas anyone ?
