I have had a look at my door. Would it be possible to cut an opening in the B pillar" the one that the door shuts onto" from the inside of the car and then cut the strap that the locking part locks onto. A plate could then be welded to the hole that you have cut in the pillar and a new locking strap bolted in. Just trying to help.

Success got it open without having to do anything drastic. Now to the wanted section for a doorcard and lock. Thanks for the advice everyone.

Mate dont know really was one of the pull anything that moved and this time door just popped open.

Can be that the hard-metal "wire" (i don't know what it is his name) jumped out from the locking mechanism ? On my door it was very easy to put away the safety plastic and to remove the "wire".

The 4 connections. key.Lock.push button and opening from inside were all attached. Think it had something to to with spindle wasnt turning.

Too late now but I had the same problem with mine while it was at the garage having the timimg belt done. The mechanic got the door open with minimal damage to the door card.  It was just the naff latch that had stuck. Changed it and now keep all the door latches well oiled.
