Veteran OOFers Advice needed
« on: 11 November 2012, 03:29:17 »

Good morning to all,

I will be heading back to UK with my LHD 3.0 V6 Omega this December and I am hoping to get some work done on the car while I am there.  ::)

Problem is the heating, it doesn't work properly, which is a bummer in the Winter.  Even on max heat setting, I am getting a lukewarm airflow at best into the car.  :(

Read through the forum discussions many times reference this problem, and I am thinking (hoping/praying) that there may be a problem with the HBV rather than the Heater Matrix.

I am on a severely tight timetable while in the UK, and the one opportunity I have of getting the car to an "Omega Expert" is on Monday 17 December.  I will be in the Peterborough/Huntingdon area that day, so if any of you live close to there, or can recommend an Omega friendly garage in the area, I would be most grateful.  ;)

I have owned this car since 1999, she has wiped out my Bank Account with extreme proficiency on many occassions, but I am not ready to give up on the old girl yet!

Please feel free to drop me a line.  Any assistance and advice will be most welcome.  :y

Cheers

Thanks for the response everyone!!  :D

Hi Serek, I'll be driving onto you forecourt on Monday 17 December 0800hrs sharp.  My old man lives just up the road in Sawtry, so no great shakes there!

Looking forward to meeting you and also having the chance for a real Omage 'Meister' to give my "Autobahn Eater" a good once over. I have waited a long time to get the car back to UK and into the hands of people who really know the Omega.  :y

Cheers,
