...as above. Miggy sometimes has a strange noise especially when going through potholes . The noise comes from the direction of right front spring, which is possibly broken. Found a broken one from an also broken but miniface mig then I'm thinking of swapping them.  Any advice welcomed !

If I want miggi to be lowered just must to swap them? I mean absorbers and spring altogether.

The other spring you found is also broken though?

If you want to lower it just a tad, you might consider MV6/Sport springs and shocks from a facelift.

For a larger drop, you want to look at maybe Bilstein B4's?

Front springs vary with spec.

If lowering, should get away with 30mm on same shocks, though if shocks are more than 10k old, I'd replace at the same time.

The noise could be anything, spring being least likely of all possibilitys.

Describe the noise?

Examine the car?

Don't buy broken or single springs?

You don't say what spec your car is?

Or the spec of the car the (broken?) spring is coming from?

And.... Always fit suspension components in axle pairs.

IMO, find the fault first. :y

The noise is creaking, my car is a 95' preface saloon GL, the donor looks like mine although can't decide preface CD or miniface CD as it's been being broken for a certain time. I examined miggy of course no bush issue ever the source of creaking suspectably is even top mount or broken spring as it is emerging at roughnesses of road such as piles and potholes. I'll sort this after christmas just need to make a plan how to finance it that's why asked.  :y
