Does jacking up the car terrify you? I bought a 3 ton clark jack two weeks ago and when I jack up the jack I keep thinking it will drop the car and when jacked up high enough to get stands underneath, I feel it will tip the car on its side (silly I know  ) Also when the jack moves towards as if lifts does the car move with it? 

I needs some jacking confidence

Jacking only worries me if I would have to use a scissor jack, as supplied with the vehicle.

A trolley jack, plus axle stands, is never a problem if correctly positioned.  Yes the trolley jack does move in towards the car as you go higher, and the angle of the arm changes to a more vertical position.

PS If you are really concerned when the car is up on the jack and axle stands, then always put the spare wheel under a corner, and place car ramps underneath as well.  If, in the very unlikely event, the car started to come down, it would land on them.  You can recover from that quite safely.

It is correctly positioned. I've watched many a forum mechanic work on my car and have learnt a thing or two

Trolley jack moves forward naturally as it rises, unless the wheels gets hooked in the block paving gaps like mine do.  I use two trolley jacks, one either side, to lift car equally if I'm putting axle stands under.

Just be sensible about how and where you lift and you should be alright but never take chances.

Thats what i got then , i got the car up so high then heard the creaking an let it back down again 

Do you raise one side right up onto a ramp then raise the other side , seems very high angle then there is no place to put the jack in the center of the car from the front

I was very nervous to begin with, you get more confident as time goes on. Big ass jacks help, more solid than the smaller ones

You will never tip it over with a jack.

If jacking one side high, make sure you chock other side, as you can lift both wheels on the jacked side with relative ease.
