Just been on the news petrol could go up to £5 a gallon and Shell and BP have made so many Billion pounds profit >:(

its not shell or bp daz its the rather goverment !!! >:( >:( shell only make a penny a litre they sell there profits are in the shop  :y

they also admitted this morning that it could be a lot cheaper than what it is. panic and speculation is the main reason for the increases in prices.

No i have LPG i dont worry about the fuel prices!  :)

Until there is a significant revenue for the Government to tax it more aggresively..... Watch diesel prices for evidence of this happening now there are vastly more Diesel cars on the road than 10 years ago.

En route from Immingham to Theftord today & yesterday i saw diesel for sale @ £1.25.9 a ltr on the A16 near Horncastle. Heard the oil co.s mega profits annnounced on the wireless but they said that profit came from drilling & exploration. We know our government are screwing us in fuel tax. Despite the rise in a barrel of crude oil we're the highest price in europe.   Discuss... No need  really, we know the answer. ::)

Why are they suddenly talking about £5 a gallon?

We've been buying it in litres for years. I have no idea how much a gallon of fuel costs these days.  >:(

News today suggested diesel will be £1.50 a litre by the autumn. :o :o :o

4.545 litres to the gallon...£5 a gallon is £1.10 a litre...been that here for a couple of days at least...£1.13 at one of the petrol stations here...

Yeah, blomin' Tescos are up at 108.9p/litre here. Guess i'll be drilling holes in my engine, boot and bumper soon.  :y

BP ultimate is £1.17 and BP ultimate diesel is £1.26 a litre down here  :o It takes the p*ss usless government >:(
