driver door lock
« on: 15 December 2012, 14:06:47 »

Hi all. Went out to the car and pressed the key. All doors opened apart from the drivers. It won't budge the pin is not pulling up and can't get door open. Anyone had the same problem?

The lock solenoid is U/S  but a replacement can be bought cheaply or you could try repairing it:

Oh, and you can still open the door with the key by turning it towards the front of the car against any resistance, it may feel like you're about to break the key but believe me you won't! ;) Remember though that the lock button on the door will not pop up  when you turn the key, so lift the door handle as you turn the key to check if it has opened. Locking the car with the remote will lock the other three doors & boot and you can lock the drivers door with the key  :y
