advanced cheapo tech2
« on: 30 April 2008, 22:37:09 »

Hi all hoping to get some opinions on this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-"My Naff Code Reader"-DIAGNOSE-USB-INTERFACE-ZAFIRA-ASTRA-ETC_W0QQitemZ300219587603QQihZ020QQcategoryZ30921QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Ie do you think it does what is says,  is it worth it ect.   I've been looking at getting one for a while and if this one can do keys ect i think it will be a worthwhile purchase.
Thoughts welcome and appreciated.

Looks suspiciously like the cheapo, but that most definately can't do CAN....

I had heard rumours of a more advanced, up to date cheapo from same manufacturer, but not seen one anywhere...

whichever way you look at it if that was to reset an EML light 3 of 4 times it would have paid for itself.

£100 is a lot of wedge, but are you going to get the use out of it.

I would email the seller and see if he has screenshotes of the program in use, the real cheapy one use to be in Hungarian i believe.

I know nothing about the ins and outs of these things, but if you look at the description carefully it has some of the hallmarks of grammatical errors and imperfect English so common in foreign product sales descriptions.
Make sure you can understand whatever instructions come with it.

Lee - having never seen this one running, I cannot say, sorry.  Does it do sufficiently enough more than the £30 cheapo to warrant the extra £70.

To be honest i was thinking more if it had the ability to program keys then it would be worth it.  Ive already got a reader able to do airbag lights ect at work but it doesnt do gearboxs or keys.

I might just get one anyway even if its just to try it (someones got to)..
