Always have stockings in this house, adults and kids...Christmas is not Christmas without the stocking.
Then down for coffee, get house ready for any other visitors and dinner.
After dinner, sleep while females wash up...then pressies....
Buffet tea.... then a special supprise presents to grandchildren from Grampy...family traddition from years back, before my time
Then silly games till bed
With plenty of booze to fill all the gaps :y
Damn right, unless we've been naughty of course. But I was always a goodboy.  :D

Biggest kid in the house gets up 1st - me!! Make as much noise as possible to wake kids up, get a bollocking from her. Open pressies, have breakfast, figure out how the kids new gadgets work, fail dismally then watch as they show me. Drink some beer, watch telly, wash up after dinner then cabbage on the sofa and probably fall asleep. This year we are going nowhere either xmas day or boxing day, so plenty of beer drinking time.

Wake up.
Santa sacks on bed, shout "he's been, he's been" very loudly.
Take sack down stairs, bucks fizz and toast. Tea coffee. Etc
Play with Santa prezzies while everyone gets ready for
Xmas dinner.  Smoke salmon starter
Turkeyhamstufgingbreadsaucesausagesroastbedeeders and maybe some veg. Must be with cracker hats on!
Xmas pud
Then....

...the under tree presents.
:y

Tipples, queens speech.
Turkey sandwiches.
Games, trivial persute, then an oddball new game of anybody's choosing. Only winner is the one that cheats the most. ;D
Then either, bed, or drive to inlaws and do it all again the next day. Wahaaaay. :)

Should add, it's been the same since the first Christmas I can remember, and I wouldn't change it for a thing. (Well, maybe a vxr8)  :y

In my family we always did this after the Queen, a way of differentiating between Santa and family, since I got hooked up with swmbo, no way all in the morning till we go off to visit her family for tea..... :-\ :-\ :-\

Isn't it strange how so many families use this discription.....was in our house, and was same in swmbo's when I met her, home from home.
Mind you, in those days, our top presents, were spinning tops, and hoop-la's etc ;D ;D

TBH we don't do presents for each other for any of the "big" days... Just buy them throughout the year if we want to :y If I see something small I'll grab it :y
