Only a decision you can make.

Lexus is a decent car, can be expensive to repair though...

a difficult decision to make..........

the only thing i would say is fuel economy, i would imagine the LS400 isn't as good as the Miggy

Most Lexus are lovely cars, and this sounds like a good example.  The Omega is also a lovely special car, so your decision is a very difficult one!   Can you afford to keep both?  If not what is the cheaper car to maintain?  I think if it was my decision it would have to be on the basis of economics and practiability. :y

I have owned/used a number of excellent cars, but the Omega for me will always be supreme, although I still weep over giving up the 3.0 CD Senator :'( :'(!    Make sure you don't do the same! ;)

It IS though your decision! :y :y  Best of luck! :y

Fuel mpg is not too much of an issue here as it will only be used at the weekends and in good weather only as i have a company van to use so the choice is even more difficult to make. I do understand that they are generally bomb prof. and at sub 150,000 they are only just running in.

Hi jay, the drive to allicante in spain would be a joy to do in either of the cars but fuel mpg will not be too diff to the omega the way i tend to push it sometimes. :)

The Lexus is a lovely car to be a passenger in.
It is absolutely silent inside (until you turn on the bl**dy impressive sound system!).
Super comfortable seats and every toy known to man. :)

However, if you are looking for excitement, they are not the right car, aside of the acceleration in a straight line, which is eerie (so quiet) but very rapid for such a large car.

For long distance driving though, they are superb.

As others have said though, parts are damn expensive, although they very rarely need them (aside of consumables).

Me, I'd get it.

easy decision, you buy the lexarse and sell your omega to me :)

But seriously Japanese cars are superb motors, take my 18 year old 200sx, it still drives like it had just rolled out of the dealership.

Great cruiser but, as dull as dish water, totally character less and I suspect your not old enough for one yet (AA might be).

And they are not as reliable as everybody makes out, they still eat suspension components etc....brakes still need replacing.....

My dad had one in at work once - he reckoned it was not that well made compared to contempary BMWs (about 10 years ago).

However is it a good buy, supposed to be reliable, so is the Toypta Celsior at a good price?
