Probably as it is a sort of masochistic pleasure or alternatively I am undergoing punishment for misdeeds in a previous life.

I would hope so. But without all the "heads ups" on preventative maintanance, I'd probably have thrown in the towel a while back tbh.

Nope, because I would never have begun to DIY maintain it, garage bills would have meant i would have swapped it out a long time ago.

Probably gone back to a Ford  :-X

Have to say this....although this is the best place on earth.....it is a bit scaremongering at times ;D ;D
When you read General/Electrical help, if does put the fear of crap up you, thinking what MAY go wrong, but never does. There must be loads of people that own this fantastic car, but are not members here.......how do they go on.
I'll bet some of you have had miggy's for years, and have not had some of the horror stories that happen here. ;)
But its nice knowing that there is help in the background :y :y :y

Also......comeraderie :y :y :y Of the best...... offers of help....second to none.

Probably the car would survive....but would we !!!!!!!!! :y ;D ;D ;D

May you own miggy's for years ;)

Don't get the significance, Andy....since I have been a member, I thought the term miggy was an affectionate term ?????
Am I misreading ???

oof has helped me no end tbh, deffo in helping maintain them, although i was a mechanic anyway but on citroens so wasnt genned up on the vaux tbh. yes the forum has saved me loads of money but due to my growing affection for the omega its actually cost me a fortune buying/selling & breaking the buggers. lol.
still a great site to be on, & long may it continue imho.
