remote central locking problem
« on: 31 December 2012, 13:02:52 »

hi there. when i first got my 01 omega the central locking buttons on the keys work but the last two months it has stopped.. the light was still flashing on the keys but not working the locks or boot.. i replaced the battery just incase and checked the sensor was still in the right place. is it possible that the keys has lost the code ??? if so is there anyway of recoding without a computer???  thanks

Key in ignition, turn till the ignition light comes on, operate the lock button. All locks should lock & then immediately unlock. Your key should now be synchronised with the central locking ...... different from coding a key to the imobiliser.

Unfortunately  ...... yes  :(

it could just be the switch that's goosed. If so, Martin Imber on here will probably be able to sort your originals for you ie replace the swiches on the pcb from inside.  :y
