Removal of ashtray drawer
« on: 07 January 2013, 16:33:03 »

Hi I am not what you would call experienced in matters of repairs with cars so I need a bit of help. The drawer which houses the ashtray on my 2002 Omega will not stay shut, in fact it won't close properly so I would like to remove it to take a look. Is there an easy way to do this or does the audio assembly have to come out first? Also am frequency on the radio is rubbish, is there a way of improving it without changing the facia and/or adding some unsightly other device to the dash?

Open ashtray (err, probably aready is ;D)
Remove the insert (ie, the bit you take out to empty ash)
There is a screw in the middle at the top, set back a long way.
