I had scrambled eggs for my tea last night.   

The first egg I cracked had a double yolk... 'That must be lucky' I thought, but then the second egg also had a double yolk and so did the third!!    It's pretty unusual, but is that a sign of luck or a bad omen?? 

I did have a little punt on Aston Villa last night.. Doh!!

It is really not that unsual. You get double yolked eggs when the hens first start to lay until they get into the rhythm of one egg a day, so with a new flock all of the same the same age the number of double yolkers goes up.

when my cousins were in egg job, almost all of  the eggs they sell were double yolk and reaching 8cms in size

   Can also be a sign that the chicken is more than 12 months old.

The answer is yes but it's very rare for both to survive.
