Car & Home Ins.
« on: 22 January 2013, 13:50:52 »

I've just received my renewal notices for Car & Home Insurance, so time to look around for better deals. I tried the Topcashback comparison search first as i've earned a fair few quid back there before. Then I went to the site advertised by that annoying Opera Singer and before you could say 'go **** ***' the telephone was ringing time after time, even though the website was still collecting my quotes!  ???
I know the World is changing, and i'm finding it harder to keep pace with Technology, but FFS, i'm expecting a call from the Undertaker next asking me to pay for my Funeral as it's due soon!!!  ;D

My car insurance is due next month and like you Phil I am getting bombarded by quotes, thank God by post, for renewal.

The pleasing thing is my quotes, including with my current insurer, Direct Line, are either the same or less than last year.  As far as I am concerned that is a result! :D :D :y

I just did the rounds for house insurance - used all the comparison sites (comparethemeercats, confused, topcashback and quidco, at least) and got prices.. then looked at quidco to see who they were giving cashback with and got it via that offer (Sainsbury Insurance) for less than the comparison sites listed (including quidco) with £80 cashback..

We recently tried Sainsburys for a quote but found Barclays much cheaper with better cover, odd how they swing about :-\

Yes always a false number, I use 023 80690000 that way no else hopefully gets crank calls but it is still using the local codes. Just in case the actual number does effect premium in anyway.

023 Southampton area code
8069 is my village
0000 just random that I very much doubt is even issued. If it is issued (never tried to dial it) that person must get so many call it is unbelievable  :o
