battery dissconnection

im going on holiday and want to disconnect the battery but will the immobiser not work again when i reconnect. i have a y reg omega so any advice would be helpful ..thanks

Welcome to the forum  :y
The immobiliser works by looking for the chip that lives in the key, so yes, your car will still recognise the immobiliser chip when you get from your holiday.
As per you handbook, you need to disconnect your battery within 15 secs of turning the ignition off, otherwise the alarm will go off.

You are aware that doing this will probably nullify your anti-theft insurance if you are "fully comp" or "TPF&T" .. as you have told your insurers that you have Thatcham Standard protection .. which won't be true with the battery disconnected ?? (no alarm detection/horn/lights)

thankyou for your help ..my car will  be parked on private land with security so i feel confident it will be safe..thanks again
