Shouldn't need the part number mate. They're a standard thing throughout the range I think, so should be no issues at the parts dept! Occasionally come up on the bay too.

Had a look on trade club and it lists all v6,s (2.5/2.6/3.0/3.2) as 9192426.Cant see how thats right as earlier 2.5/3.0 had the screw on type your looking for. :-\

Don't know about actual part number, but wasn't VOF 93 or something similar stamped on them   :-\

It can be right as all those engines (at some point) have been fitted with the paper element filter.

93178952 is the metal one.

Ask for a VOF93 at any VX dealer, thats the easiest way. It fits a multitude of vehicles, including my 1.8 work Cav.

and I've never seen the point in the conversion. Never had a problem with the ally cap  ;) ;) ;)
Admittedly they caps are plastic, but both the Smart & R Class have a paper element cartridge oil filter.

Dont like the so called "proper one". Always had problems with getting the cap off,

And it makes such a mess. I've just converted mine for this reason.
Paper filters are OK if they're in a vertical housing with the cap on the top, or where the entire housing hangs down and unscrews like on an A-series.

Any parts supplier should be able to cross the Vauxhall VOF93 with whatever they supply, but here are some more: Bosch P3079; Mann W712; Mahle OC90. I did this a few years back with  a filter for a 472 Caddy V8, the damaged one on the engine was an American brand I'd never heard of, and UK books don't list  Cadillacs. With a bit of searching through the books, the local truck factor had them on the shelf as they were used on some generator.

I think that is it (VOF93) but why does the ebay seller say estate only and that it won't fit a 1998 saloon?
