Anyone know how much room there is between the estate fuel tank & the underside of the wheelwell

I don't know but (if it is similar to the saloon) there will be a circular flap you can remove to get to the fuel pump on top of the tank.

I hadn't realised that the wheel well was above the fuel tank an estate load bay must be quite high off the floor

It's level with the top edge of the bumper, so couldn't be any lower! It's much better than a 5 series estate. As is the rest of the load area; you can actually put large objects in an Omega.

Probably less than that. I looked at all sorts of tank options for LPG but think its only about an inch clearance.

Yep, that would be about right. Just enough to route some LPG pipes under the bottom of the wheel well. The tank could possibly be spaced down a little, though.

Looked at that but didn't feel comfortable dropping it the 3" I needed to get the right size tank in, hence the raising of the floor

Moons ado I had to empty the luggage contents of an BM 325 Saloon boot into the back of my empty MV6 Estate for a friend during a breakdown, would it all fit in the back with the load cover fitted??

i actually know the answer to this as i have measured it to its .75" i had to lower my tank by just over an inch for the LPGUK registration. not enpough ventalation with petrol tank in its original place.

there is nothing as i found out, i bought a car with lpg fitted and the clowns drilled a hole in wheel well straight through top of tank, rather then admit fault it had been bunged up with silicon sealant, so was one of my jobs to fit a new one as red baron saw when i collected one from him, can only get 1/3 tank of fuel in if you do do it or youll end up with a wet driveway   hth   adey

No surprise whatsoever... Far too many of the "Professionals" are a bunch of cowboys who get the industry and LPG in general a bad name

these were prinns specialists too cause thats what is fitted, i bought car with 92k on clock and it had been fitted at 46k so like it for some time, but does make you wonder
