Rapidly going off the BMW 530D's at work

Although they are a fantastic car to drive I'm rapidly going off them. We're having lots of reliability issues at present & I know we drive em hard but its getting ridiculous now. Beemer 1 = New inlet manifold, new power steering rack, crankshaft pully fell off  :o multiple issues with the DPF which is really annoying as it keeps putting the car into limp mode, injection problems, fuel pump failure......
Beemer 2= lights keep shorting, had new side light & circuit board at £300, rear air-suspension failed 3 times now, electronic stability failed twice, DPF faults.....AGAIN! New clutch & DMF
Beemer 3= airsuspension faults X 3, electronic stability fault, battery keeps draining itself (nothing to do with any of our equipment) several times it won't start, why you ask only him upstairs knows  ::) ::) ::)

They go off to the dealers to be fixed and we don't see em for at least 2 weeks, and in all they're only just about 18 months old, with 37k, 32k, & 39k  Glad I ain't payin the bill!!!

I know it's not something you can request, but most owners who know their stuff have the DPF removed.

DMF's are notoriously shite on any car, especially a car which is driven hard.

I know what ya mean Broomie, but if that was all that was wrong I wouldn't be that bothered but all the other faults???  ::) ::) ::)

So much for technology then :D all the electrickery etc. Did you know 3/5 series made in India-

Yes, SOME 3/5 (and 1 series) are bolted together in India, but they are for the Indian market.  None of the parts are manufactured in Inida AFAIK.  They just bolt it together as a kit.

None of these cars are exported for European sale.

I'm at BMW Oxford and Swindon most days of the week!  Would be good to say Hi!

Currently working in 32.1?????? (I think) The new area anyway.  I work for SARA.

Don't blame you.  All these new robots must be taking a toll on the human staff they have there.

Yes mate-now fix/operate machines to make cardboard boxes-cant moan-plenty of o/time+got pay rise too :y :y
