Violin practice
« on: 06 February 2013, 17:41:00 »

Now don't get me wrong, I like a good violin piece as much as the next man. But....why do the practice pieces/scales have to sound so bloody awful. My lad is giving it his best upstairs. Next doors cat (who likes to make himself at home here) has just shot down the stairs like.....well...like a scalded cat, and I can't say I blame him.
Pleeeeeease.....hurry up and finish. Then I can tell you how good it was.   :-[

A learner violinist is the worst sound known to man. I tried to learn the violin when I was about 12 ,but gave up after the second lesson due to not being able to stand the sound of my own playing. ::) ;D

Hmmm possibly "the worst sound known to man" but me with my electric guitar must be a close second. Why ? I just can't play it  ;D I just make noise  :y

My electric guitar playing was always my favourite sound as a teenager.Parents and neighbours didnt agree though. My bedroom was 8x8 in a 3 bed terrace house,so a vox AC30 permanently at maximum volume didnt go down well.
Dad came close to putting a hammer through it several times, and the woman next door snapped on one occassion and threw a milk bottle at me  as I came out of our house just after finishing playing one of my loud "masterpieces". ;D ;D
I just thought they were daft old buggers who didnt appreciate good music. :)
