Can the 3.0 litre alternator be put on a 2.6 engine or is the wiring different.

No doubt Rob G will be able to advise on this matter

The wiring will need a little bit of modification as the position of the terminals will be different, but not too onerous. The older alternator is apparently more reliable too.

Worth changing the bearings in the alternator first if they feel dry.
