Just a quick question is there any way that you can mod the wing mirrors to tilt down when you go into reverse.

Elites have a memory function for the seats and mirrors. Its simply a matter of programming one of the 3 memory options to have the mirrors point down.On any other model its going to be a whole different ball game to try to get that function.Personally,I wouldnt know where to start.

A old BMW 5 series i have a few years ago had tilting and folding mirrors. If you wanted to park close to the curb i was great but if i wanted to reverse in the  garage it was a pain. Had to keep switching it off. One extra i don't want again

Use the seat memory to set up a tilted mirror - then each time you reverse remember to press the right memory button, and when you go forward you need to press the original memory button.  Is it worth it?  Best get a motor with that automatic function built in if you really need it ::)

It's not worth the bother IMO. With the memory seat settings set as described with one of the three settings set with mirrors down, when the button is pressed it moves one side then the other, as opposed to both mirrors at once.

In short, when parallel parking, its quicker to adjust the mirror you want by hand than bugger about waiting for one side to move then the other.

Instead of pressing the memory button on the seat why not just press the external mirror button, it's better placed ::)

Alright smart arse ;D by hand I mean using the button to adjust the mirror you want each time, rather than waiting for the memory to adjust the wrong mirror you don't need adjusted, then the one you do want.
Not get out of the car, go round to the mirror, move it manually get back in, find it needs further adjustment, get out...etc. that would just be silly. That's what the button by the electric windows are for, as you so rightly say. ::)

Dear oh dear. ;D ;)
