Even the pope has had enough

He is stepping down on Feb 28th. Says he's not up to it. It must be a bad old world.

7 years ago I believe, and at 78 then, one of the oldest elected Popes of the modern era.

85, frail, and rumoured to be suffering the onset of Alzheimers, he has taken a brave step in resigning.

I just hope he is allowed to go with the dignity he deserves, and the press don't "invent" some stories just to sell papers.

Personnally I don't give a freak.

I find the Catholic Church rather disturbing to be honest, will his resignation make choir boys any safer.

According to the DT where it has been traditional for the Pope to be European, they are also looking outside of Europe, this time for the next one.
