If I didn't want coolant level on MID anymore could I...
« on: 12 February 2013, 12:19:41 »

...get stanley-knife-happy and cut the wire that goes in to it from the bottom of the expansion tank and tape it up? Just arrived at my mum's to get this job done and to be honest it has only ever come on when it's been on the MAX  ::) so more than happy to do away with it TBH.

Your thoughts  :)

One day it may save your engine..

Better to get a new expansion tank, IMHO.

That's how we did it in the middle of a field in Newent (Bob Dent's old car, now residing with Jimbob & Ljay) :y

Unfortunately we mad the mistake of doing it when the engine was still a touch warmer than we thought :-X ::)

Just unplug it and bridge the contacts with a paper clip. Job done.

Just the plug Steve, and yes, bridge both female terminals (at the plug) and tape secure
