Is the pump from an identical Omega with the same part number?

When you say you have had the pump mended, what exactly was repaired? The EDC?

All cables connected securely? Especially the ribbon cable and four wires that you need to snip and re-join?

Can anyone tell me if, this reading is correct, swirl level control solenoid valve pulse ratio reads 0.0
EDC15M comes up on computor reading

EDC15M is the bosch code for the injection system and not a fault code

It could be, depends on the operating conditions.

I would expect the swirl flaps to operate below around 1600-1800 rpm to close off one of the inlet ports on every cylinder to promote swirl adn more effecient burn at lower revs.

On idle they may well be open by default.
