B pillar rattling
« on: 17 February 2013, 21:44:37 »

When I switch on the heater fan from cold, I get a rattling coming from inside the offside B pillar. As soon as it gets warm the rattling stops.

Obviously something inside is a tad loose, but how do I get inside the B pillar to check? Never taken one apart before.  ???

Trim usually just unclips but need to be careful removing.  Don't think there's any screws but may be wrong - have a good look first ;)

Pop the lower trim off, then two screws at the base of the upper part, also another one behind the alarm sensor.

The trim clips into/onto the headlining trims and also locates onto the belt height adjuster. If you want to remove it completely then you need to unbolt the lower belt mounting bolt :y
