Ive not touched cider since i was 16, it left a lasting impression on me .
 because i was so  inexperienced i drank it like pop (it was straight from the fridge) Did i mention it was home brew God i was sick fo a week :D :D :D :D

Like some nice bottled ciders such as Katy, Old Rosie, Magners, various Pear ciders etc. Actually, like most ciders except sweet ones like woodpecker etc. [smiley=beer.gif]

Does 5 pints of cider count as 5 portions towards daily fruit & veg intake? ;)

Haven't seriously touched cider since me and a mate brewed some when we were about 17 using lessons from the "more sugar, more alcohol" school of home brewing. It wasn't a total success. We poured it away in his back garden and his dog found it. Dog was later spotted trying to walk when 2 out of 4 legs were no longer working.

Speaking as a self confessed Cider lover of more years than I like to remember (thirty years or more ;)) I love the stuff! My usual tipple is Strongbow (don't knock it-very refreshing on a hot day), but Bulmers Original and Gaymers Old English is good. Don't touch Dry Blackthorn, headache tackle ;D Scrumpy Jack is yummy.

The thing that most people forget is that cider is strong. Strongbow is 5.3% and that's not the strongest by a long shot :o Treat it with the respect it deserves!!! Never buy cider in cans, it taints the taste, always buy in bottles or better still draught :y One of my favourites down in the West Country is Addlestones Cloudy. It leaves a sludge in the bottom with the odd shopping trolley, bicycle wheel etc but is good stuff ;D
