But the question you should be asking is why? Have the adjusters broken? ??? ???

If your adjusters are still ok recognise you will need to turn the adjusters quite a lot for a small movement in headlight levels ;)

Can't see how they can be :( Headlights don't suddenly drop for no reason ;)

Couple of quick ones though... Are they HID's? If so, check the level sensors.

If not HID's, I assume the adjuster wheel by the headlamps hasn't been nudged to it's lowest setting? ;)

They have always been like this.

They are HID (the small round low wattage type)
I need to rub down & polish the headlights as they are discoloured.

Nothing said by op re sudden drop for no reason - could be op recently purchased car with lights like that.  Perhaps op could advise.

True... But it's highly unlikely that both headlamps would be adjusted so low unless something has moved them ;)

OK, so worth checking the sensors on the Nearside front and rear suspension before adjusting the lights. Could also be that there has been a dodgy sensor in the past and it's been fixed but the level needs resetting, which I had to do on mine recently ;)

Re polishing the headlights. I had very opaque headlights. Used Meguiars Plast RX and they looked almost new.

If the leveling is faulty it will show an error.

Easy enough to setup using a wall and a flat surface

Mine didn't show a warning on the check display once I'd replaced the sensor but still needed resetting with Tech 2

You can reset them with tech 2, not actualy totaly essential though as the control range is massive.

The prescibed routine is a reset with tech 2 followed by the standard manual setup but the reset has no impact on the final adjusted result.  :y

Think I need to do mine really... Seem they may be a fraction high :-\ :-\

I don't suppose you have a height measurement from the ground on a wall? Or do I need to go and drive up to TB's garage door ::)

Yes, wall and flat surface, bit of tape....takes about 5 mins to do

Height is not of use due to the many variations in suspension height etc  :y
