This looks nice and will get the curtains twitching , oh and cuts out 6 cylinders when tootling around town :)

Wasn't one of these on Top Gear not that long ago Jeremy bought it for the same price of a new basic car or something ?

As did one of the 70's Cadillacs ........ but EFi & electrickery has come on a bit since than  :y

Very quiet indeed, Doesn't it have double glazed windows or something ?.


And there's a fair few around for sale £5,000 - £15,000 .. One hell of a car for the money.

I agree,but a lot of cars are like that,if the v6 diesel in my Signum went pop it would probably scrap the car but hey ho :D

Likewise most cars. But there are some massively expensive bits on a Merc like that without even looking under the bonnet.  ;) ;) ;) ;)

My last boss had one of these AMG monsters - they are quite a handful, specially in the snow/ice ;)

I've been looking at Lexus LS400 around 1997-2000 and apparently according to AutoTrader the V12 Merc does 0-62 in 6.6sec and the 4.0 V8 LS400 in 6.9sec and both of them top speed 155mph there's hardly much in it .. Somehow I was expecting a quicker 0-60 than that from the V12  :-\
